Photo Post 134: Merry-Go-Round (Woodbridge Center Mall, NJ)

Finally I got chance to take a long exposure merry-go-round. Actually since long time I really really want to go to a funfair and take awesome long exposure photos of different rides at night time. But my busy schedule always bring something in between. Before a month, it was study and now it is job hunting. No time for fun. Seriously !! Even I can’t update blog everyday which I promised you and myself.

OK !!! Leave it. Even I didn’t go to any fair to take this picture. Yesterday I went to a shopping mall with sister and brother-in-law. I took my camera with me as I had nothing to shop. At last minute, I took my tripod too and that definitely worked out. I took some cute snaps of my nephew inside the mall and then before coming back home, we went to kids area inside the mall. When I saw this merry-go-round, I was like “YEAHHH !!! I got something interesting”.

Unfortunately lights inside the mall were to bright and even there was still sunshine coming inside. They still turned on the lights around merry-go-round which gave me opportunity to take a long exposure photograph. I set my tripod and took 4-5 photos. People were very disturbing going here and there and coming in between my camera and my object.

Post processed one in Lightroom which I’m sharing with you today. I can take much better photograph than this but still I’m happy with this 🙂

WordPress ruined the quality here. Check out the Flickr link.

See you soon. Till then Good Night, Alvida, Shabba Khair, Shub Ratri.

Photo Post 132: Mr. Turtle

Mr turtle

Today in the afternoon, I got up to have lunch and that time my little 2 year old nephew was already sleeping so the drawing room empty. I saw this Mr Turtle sitting at window. It was raining outside so nice light was coming inside from the window behind turtle.

Turtle was looking so cute that I couldn’t stop myself from taking his picture. But because of the back light I decided to click multiple shots with different exposure to create a better exposed final image. So in technical term – it is an HDR image.

Then I did minor post processing in light room to some vignette in the corners and color enhancement.

I liked it 🙂 Happy 🙂

Day 108: Innocence, Happiness, Excitement.

Innocence, Happiness, Excitement.

Another one of my nephew’s. He is such a handsome, cute and loving boy. Took it two days before when we went to a park. He was giving this expression while his momma was calling him and playing with him here-n-there. ❤

I don’t have enough time to write the full story. I know I’m doing this so often now but believe me, I’m really busy. Lots of study to do. I’m already behind in it. 😦

PS: Editing in Lightroom. More use of graduated filter tool.

Day 89: My Cute Nephew

My Cute Nephew

My loving elder sister was waiting for me to come to NJ and take my nephew’s awesome photographs. Finally as I’m in NJ now, I decided to take his photos when we went to visit Liberty State Park.

Because he was crazily playing everywhere, I couldn’t get enough moments to take his photographs, I got only 2-3 really nice pictures. Other are good and cute too but they’re not photographically very nice.

We all loved this photograph. Extremely cute. I love himmmmmmmmmmmmmm. :-*

Even I used my Walgreen free print coupon code and printed this photo in 8×10 size today. I gave it to my sister as surprise and she loved it. Will find a good photo-frame now.

Editing: played with lightroom adjustments (brightness, contrast, temperature, black & white clipping, exposure). Also corrected some lighting issues on right side using graduated filter tool & some vignetting on both ends.

You will surely say Aweee after looking this photo. 🙂

Day 33: The Village Kid

The Village Kid

Another lucky to get picture. Seriously I was at all into technical photography when I took this photo. Even I don’t remember, in which camera I took this picture. but I remember I took it when I went to my close friend’s home and it was at Koliyak village in Bhavnagar, India.

I’m definitely going there back to take photographs of people and awesome hut/houses when I go to India next time.

you can clearly see the quality is not so good because I must have taken with some digital camera and also there was much noise in the photo, so I had to remove noise in lightroom and thus compromised with sharpeness of photo. Still it looks good.

I really like the expression of the kid in the photograph. It’s so innocent and he really seems waiting for someone or looking at someone with excitement. Even the texture of door and frame is so nice.

I’m not giving EXIF because there is no need.

I hope you will like the phot 🙂

Day 14: Innocencies of childhood

Innocencies of Childhood

The photo which always reminds me of my trekking to Himalayas. It was amazing 11 day period of my life. Team of 61 people went to hike himalayas upto 14000ft.

We stopped at a place nearly at around 12000ft to have some tea and snacks. There were many kids (from nearby villages) playing around and having fun with other hikers. I was not having my own camera that time. I used friends’ cameras in the whole journey.

As soon as the kids saw me taking pictures, they all gathered and started giving natural happy poses. “they were really very innocent”. I took 2-3 photos and this is one of them.

I took it in Black & White setting only. Adjusted contrast and leveling, did selective blurring and sharpening.

  • Taken with digital camera (FinePix S5600), so nothing interesting.
